RANCHER

Roy grew up on a small farm in central Washington State. After living everywhere from Guatemala to New York State, he and Charlotte settled in California to raise their family and pursue their careers.

Roy headed a company introducing varieties of strawberries globally, and in his retirement, knew he wanted to do something more local and closer to his childhood roots living on a farm.

He has found great satisfaction in the hard work of tending to the neglected and overgrazed land, and introducing other cattle ranchers to the benefits of the Bonsmara breed.

RANCHER

Charlotte was raised in the San Francisco Bay area. She was a professor until retirement and has traveled the world, always coming back to Northern California where she and Roy raised their two children.

She had a fulfilling career as a professor at California State University, Chico, and since retirement she and Roy have been building a relationship to their land in Paskenta, CA and Los Molinos, CA.

She still enjoys traveling whenever possible and visiting with her grandkids - both in California and New Jersey.
